Fantastical Fairy Grotto Opens November 17th!

The elves are scurrying around getting the grotto ready for Santa’s arrival at 11am on Saturday November 17th. This year’s Fantastical Fairy Grotto is bigger and better than ever and features a fairy and elf theme, complete with a unicorn! Santa will be in the grotto Saturdays and Sundays during November from the 17th, then Thursday-Sundays during December then Monday 17th through to Christmas Eve inclusive. Opening times will be 11-5 weekdays & Saturdays, 11-4.30 on Sundays. Grotto entry is £8 per child with up to 2 accompanying adults (extra adults £1) and includes a gift from Santa. You are welcome to walk through the grotto when Santa is not in residence for only £1 per person.

As usual, we will not be operating a booking system but are extending our grotto opening times in the week to 5pm allowing for after-school visits and for the weekend visitors there will be entertainment and a pop-up Christmas Cabin for refreshments to make the wait more bearable!

Christmas Circus coming to Timmermans!

John Lawson’s award-winning Circus is coming to Timmermans this Christmas! Featuring a variety of acts it will be family entertainment for all ages. The big top will be on the bottom field in front of the garden centre and will open on Saturday December 15th and run until December 31st (no performances 25th,26th & 27th December as we are closed). We will be putting in extra car parking as well as a dedicated Christmas Cabin near the Circus for festive refreshments!

FAQ

When is it?

The circus runs from Saturday 15th to 31st December, with no performances when we are closed 25th-27th December. Follow the booking link (from Tuesday) to view the performance times on each individual date. The performance running time is approximately 45 minutes. Please arrive 30 minutes before your performance time. We may not be able to admit any latecomers who arrive after the performance has started.

Where is it?

The Big Top will be on our field at the front of the garden centre. Access to the Circus will be via the plant area, just follow the signs!

How much are tickets and where do I get them?

You can book tickets in advance online via the booking link, up to midnight the night before the performance. Tickets will be available on the day from the garden centre. Adults aged 15 years and over –  £6, Children aged 2 and over –  £5

Are there any special offers?

Yes! There is 25% off the normal ticket prices for performances on the 17th,18th,19th. These include the 4.30pm, after-school performance. Adult tickets are £4.50 and Children are only £3.75

What about under 2s?

Little ones under 2 years of age do not need a ticket and are welcome to sit on a parent’s/guardian’s lap. If your under- 2 year old occupies a seat then you will be required to purchase a Child’s ticket.

Fire regulations do not permit prams or pushchairs within the seating areas but they can be folded and left at the entrance to the big top, at your own risk.

Will the Big Top be heated?

Yes!

Are there animals performing in the Circus?

No, strictly humans only!

Can I change my booking?

Sorry, bookings are non-refundable and are only valid for the performance date and time printed on the ticket. Unfortunately we are unable to change a booking once it has been paid for.

Will the Circus be cancelled if the weather is really bad?

In the event of high winds, there is a chance we may have to cancel a performance. If this happens, we will post the cancellation on our Facebook page as it may be too difficult to contact everyone individually. In the unlikely event we are forced to cancel a performance, you will be offered an alternative performance or a full refund. We will process all online refunds as quickly as possible but are not liable for processing delays caused by SagePay or other third parties and are only liable for the ticket price paid, no further costs. We regret that tickets cannot be refunded in the event of adverse weather (for example, if it snows) if the performance goes ahead.

Will there be flashing lights?

The performance may include bright or flashing lighting and loud sound effects. Please contact us directly if this is a potential issue and we can give you further details.

Can we take photographs?

Yes! Photography without flash and video filming for private use is encouraged – please tag us into any of your social media posts! Commercial photography and video filming is not permitted without prior agreement and payment of a location fee and performer’s fees.

Will refreshments be available?

Yes, our pop-up Christmas Café will be serving up hot dogs for circus-goers, festive treats such as luxury hot chocolate, gingerbread lattes, mulled wine, mince pies and other Christmas delights.

Breakfast With Santa 2018

We are very pleased to announce that we will now be taking bookings for this years Breakfast with Santa.

Arriving at 8.30 am and once everyone has been seated you will be served a delicious freshly cooked breakfast to enjoy. Santa will then come up to the restaurant with one of his helpers to walk around and say hello to the children and pose for photographs before returning to his grotto. Once you have finished your breakfast you are then able to enjoy this years walkthrough winter wonderland and see Santa in his grotto where the children will be given a gift.

Breakfast with Santa will be held on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, & the 22nd & 23rd of December at 8.30am

Tickets are 12.99 for Children & 7.99 for Adults and includes a cooked breakfast, and entry to this years walk through Winter Wonderland.

Childs breakfast consists of a pork sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, baked beans, toast and a drink. (Vegetarian option available)

Adults breakfast consists of pork sausage, bacon, grilled tomato, mushrooms egg of your choice, toast and either a filter coffee or breakfast tea. (Vegetarian option available)

Payment is due at the point of booking, we will also need to take the adults egg preference at point of booking also. Unfortunately we will be unable to offer refunds after the 25th November this is because in previous years we have had empty tables due to last minute cancellation.

To book please either pop in or call the garden centre restaurant (0115 966 4033 option 2) and speak to either Kirsty or Megan. These are the only two members of staff that are able to take bookings (this is to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible)

Christmas Department

Here at Timmermans we have been busy all year getting ready for Christmas 2018.  The staff have been working really hard over the past few weeks getting the Christmas department ready.  Its not completely finished but the tree decoration section is now open!  We will have the rest of the Christmas department completed in the next two weeks.
